Socket

Content first.
Good design
comes with it.

Build a landing page, blog or business site around your content. Socket gives you structured blocks and a considered design, with agents to help you think it through.

Writing a page and designing a page are different jobs.

Changing a sentence shouldn’t mean fixing the page around it.

Good design is a set of relationships: type sizes, spacing, image proportions and how each section sits with the next. I want those relationships to hold as your content changes.

That’s why Socket starts with structured blocks. Each gives you a clear place for a headline, an image or an answer, with useful boundaries around what belongs there. The blocks and theme handle the layout; you shape the message.

An agent can help you plan and refine within that same structure. You both have fewer layout decisions to make, leaving more attention for the words, images and ideas.

Choose a block for each
part of your page.

The type, spacing and proportions are already considered. Bring your words and images to a layout that holds together.

Your images do the talking.
Your words, your voice.
Make the details easy to find.
Answer questions. Give a next step.

What are you
working on?

Start with the kind of site you need. Use blocks to introduce an offer, organise a publication or explain your business.

When the idea needs
a design of its own.

Start with Socket’s themes and blocks. If your site needs a layout or component they don’t cover, I can design it around your content.

I also offer a self-hosted setup. We’ll work out the design and hosting scope together around your site and how you want to run it.

Talk to Jason about your siteScope and pricing are agreed around the project.

A few questions
about Socket.

What do you mean by separating content and design?

A headline, an image and an FAQ answer each have a place in a block. The block and theme set their type, spacing and proportions. You refine the content within that structure without making every layout decision again.

Can I still customise the design?

Yes. Choose a tailored theme, arrange your blocks and use the available style controls. If those options don’t cover the design you need, the custom service can create components around your project.

What do the agents do?

They help you think through notes, outlines and plans. You decide the message, write and refine the content, and choose what gets published. Socket is designed to support that authorship.

How is this different from other ways to build a site?

Whether you start with Wix, Squarespace, WordPress or a page generated with ChatGPT, there are still content and presentation decisions to make. Socket puts structured content at the centre, gives it a coherent set of design choices, and supports the thinking around it.

When should I choose a custom, self-hosted site?

When your project needs components or a setup beyond the standard themes and controls. We start with the content and blocks you already have, then agree the custom design and hosting scope together. Tell me what you have in mind.

You have something to say.
